Statement from Rep. Meyer on Celeste Plumlee’s appointment to the Arizona House of Representatives

STATE CAPITOL, PHOENIX – House Democratic Leader Eric Meyer, D-Paradise Valley (District 28), released the following statement regarding the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors’ decision to appoint Celeste Plumlee to the Legislative District 26 vacancy in the Arizona House of Representatives:

“I would like to congratulate Celeste Plumlee on her appointment to the Arizona House of Representatives. She has been an outstanding advocate for her community as an active member of the Arizona Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence and the City of Tempe Municipal Arts Commission. She certainly will be a strong voice for District 26 and an excellent addition to the Democratic Caucus. We look forward to working with her.”

  1. I have known Celeste for several years, having served with her as a member of the SHARE Committee - AZ Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence. She is a powerful proponent of ending dating and domestic violence and will make a great Representative. Congratulations to District 26. You will have a strong advocate. Linda King

  2. Congratulations to Celeste! She was a great help in offering research and expertise to our Resolutions Committee of the Arizona PTA. She continues to help make our communities better by helping individuals become stronger, and working collaboratively on projects. Her voice, knowledge, and communication skills will serve Arizona well.
