STATE CAPITOL, PHOENIX – Dr. Aron Ureña, on behalf of the Secretary of Tourism for Baja California, Mexico, invited Rep. Cesar Chavez, D-Phoenix (District 29), to participate in its upcoming summit on medical tourism, Baja’s Health and Wellness Forum.

On July 27 and 28, the key figures in the region's health and wellness tourism industry will take part in the Forum. Attendees will be able to view more than 80 exhibition stands and engage in several workshops and conferences.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to participate in this summit,” Chavez said. “With the inaccessibility of health care in the United States, many of our citizens are looking for more viable options. This is a great opportunity to find ways to make healthcare affordable and, most importantly, find medical providers that can deliver safe environments for Arizonans.”

Each year, more than 2.4 million patients seek medical care in Baja California. To learn more about Mexico’s premier medical tourism summit please click here.
