STATEMENT: Indigenous Peoples Caucus Marks National Native American Month

STATE CAPITOL, PHOENIX – Members of the Indigenous Peoples Caucus today released the following statement in solidarity with fellow Indigenous Peoples across the nation and world recognizing National Native American Heritage Month. Arizona is home to 22 sovereign Indian Nations:

"November marks the recognition of National Native American Heritage month. This month, we honor the cultures, traditions and contributions of Indigenous Peoples. We also reaffirm our commitment to the advancement of the rights and dignity of Indigenous Peoples in Arizona and across the world. The Indigenous Peoples Caucus is committed to fostering a national dialogue on the economic, social and cultural rights of Indigenous Peoples and to work to empower the next generation of Indigenous leaders.”
