House Democrats Welcome Gov. Hobbs' Budget and Stand Ready to Deliver An Arizona We Can Afford

PHOENIX – House Democrats on Friday welcomed Governor Katie Hobbs’ executive budget and look forward to actively negotiating a balanced, bipartisan plan that makes life more affordable for working families and the middle class.

“House Democrats are fighting for An Arizona We Can Afford, and we are encouraged to see the Governor's budget put affordability front and center,” said House Democratic Leader Oscar De Los Santos. “There is clear alignment around ending special-interest tax breaks for large corporations like data centers and creating the Arizona Affordability Fund to help families manage rising utility costs.”

House Democrats also welcomed the Governor’s commitment to affordable healthcare by fully funding AHCCCS and protecting critical services that families rely on. The Executive Budget can be found here.
